What language is the training taught in?

The course will be entirely taught in English, so proficiency in English is essential.

What are the prerequisites for the course?

It is highly recommended that you have a dedicated and consistent yoga practice for at least 6 months to 1 year before joining the course. The only other prerequisites are a genuine interest in yoga, coming with an open mind, and being prepared to learn :)

What are the requirements for the course?

This is an intensive, three-week yoga teacher training program, so full attendance and completion of all homework and assignments is mandatory in order to successfully graduate from the course.

After completing your registration, we will send you an official welcome packet by email. This will include your pre-course required readings to prepare you for the training.

What about COVID-19?

The COVID-19 global health crisis is tragically affecting the whole world. Here is an update on how it will affect future Nomad Yoga teacher trainings and events.

How do I know if I'm good enough at yoga to be able to teach it?

Yoga is a practice, not something to be perfected. Wherever you are in your yoga journey, you are good enough. You do not need to be an asana master to teach effectively or to impact your students in a positive way. You do not need to be able to hold handstand free-floating to offer meaningful classes to your community.

Perfectly practicing asana does not create a good teacher. Teaching is a completely separate skill that we will extensively study and practice in this training. You will learn the art of communication and how to empower your students. Your asana skills are unrelated to your teaching skills.

If you love yoga and want to share its teachings, then you are undoubtedly "good enough" and ready to teach yoga!

How do I pay for the course?

We accept either bank transfers or major credit cards for the deposit and remaining course tuition fees. A $500 USD deposit is required to secure your space in the training and the remaining balance of your tuition is due by the date specified in your welcome packet. Payment plans are available upon request.

Is Thailand safe? Can I travel there alone?

Thailand is a developing country that is visited by many tourists yearly. Koh Samui, itself, is one of the most frequently visited islands in Thailand and wholeheartedly welcomes international tourism. Visiting Thailand either as a solo traveler or with a group is generally considered to be safe, although you should always exercise common sense and vigilance while traveling.

Do I need a visa to travel to Thailand?

Depending on what passport you hold, most countries are visa exempt for a free 30-day entry. Select countries need to apply for a visa in advance. Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day of your arrival and have at least one blank page for a stamp or visa sticker. More visa information.

What if I want to share a bed or room with my partner or friend?

Please email us at yttc@nomadyogaschool.com so that we can discuss your situation and, hopefully, accommodate you.

Leah has developed such an amazing yoga teacher training. In a short amount of time we delved deeply into the history of yoga, teaching methodologies and sequencing (and many more). I now feel ready and equipped to teach what I love! Her stunning leadership skills also helped to set a warm and nourishing environment for all of us students to flourish in unison and build strong life long connections with each other. This time has been a pivotal moment in my life and I’m forever grateful. Don’t get me wrong, we all had to WORK our minds, our bodies and our spirits. We were tested and challenged but I wouldn’t have it any other way. In a market so saturated of teacher trainings, just stop at Leah and let her take you on this beautiful journey to transition from student to teacher.

I cannot formulate how extraordinary this trip was, if you're unsure what YTT to pick, this is the one! Remarkable teachers shared their vast knowledge and passion with us at a paradise location. The down-to-earth Leah amazed me with wisdom, warmth, and world class cues. The food was outstanding, the lectures inspiring and the classes authentic. I woke up like in a dream each day surrounded by jungle, tropical birds, sun, and an epic ocean panorama. Every expectation I had was exceeded drastically. My horizon is widened and my curiosity and hunger for life is sparked. I'm forever grateful for this adventure.

The trip was amazing. It was very challenging, which I anticipated and had hoped for. I walked away feeling confident and like I got more than I paid for. Leah is a true professional in the yoga industry. The world of yoga is lucky to have someone so passionate and intelligent to be able take what she knows and teach others. My expectations were surpassed and I can’t imagine there is anyone who could give you more.

Leah is the most inspiring teacher I’ve ever met. I am really so grateful that I met such an amazing person and that such a beautiful soul exists in this world. I had the honor to take Leah’s 200hr online yoga teacher training and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. Leah has created a dynamic space of safety, community, trust and love and every part of this training was wholeheartedly vibrant in its interactivity. She was always so eager to help and guide me through the process of this life changing experience. She speaks from her heart to every student and makes everyone feel so truly unique and special. I hope that every person that wants to take a yoga teacher training chooses Leah’s training that, in my honest opinion, has everything that a new yoga teacher must know when starting its long journey as a teacher. This training is truly a journey of self growth and transformation.

There aren't enough words to describe the emotions that arise when I think about this experience. It has been at the same time the hardest and most wonderful 3 weeks I've had in my life. I have learned so much about every aspect of yoga: its philosophy, history, and physical practice but mainly I've learned so much about myself and the person I am or want to be. This training made me feel as an open door to a whole new world to discover and I'm so eager to continue on this pathway and discover much more of it. Thank you for this life-changing experience.

I have tried several times but when it comes to putting the words down, I’m getting lost. What I owe you is so much more than a “thank you” because I feel that what you taught me is the most valuable lesson I have learned in life. And for that, I am grateful. I opened myself up to the lessons you had to teach and what you taught has had a deep impact on me as a person. It is not something that I really understand, but I feel it happening. Thank you for everything you showed me and every lesson you gave. Thank you for being such a profound light in the world. And thank you for shining a little of that light on me. And thank you so much for having such a huge impact on me that I find myself tearing up as I try to write you a message of gratitude. Thank you so, so much for reaching into me in ways I don’t even understand.

I honestly had the feeling that Leah thought the 200hr teacher training course through from A to Z. It exceeded my expectations by far and I am actually sad that it is over already and most certainly will sign up for further training with Leah. I was a student of Leah in Hong Kong many years ago. I honestly forgot over the years exactly why I had the feeling I needed to learn more from her. During Day 1 of my 200 hour teacher training it all came back: she teaches with kindness, openness, clarity, and her cues for asana practice are as sharp as a chef’s knife. I can’t wait to continue on—on this life-long journey of practicing yoga and I hope to cross paths with Leah online and in person as a student of hers many more times. THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart.

Leah was an incredible teacher who guided and held space for 24 different and diverse students. At the start of the course I was unable to imagine a future as a teacher; by the end of the course, we were all confidently teaching our peers and I am now planning my own yoga classes. INCREDIBLE!

Leah is a complete force of total goodness and she has a massive presence. Her classes flow with consummate ease and, as a new yoga teacher myself, I now appreciate that her cueing is super world class. Never once did I find myself wondering what to do with my body. No class was ever the same. She always taught who was in the room and gave us all the confidence to attempt more difficult postures through her skill and compassion. Whilst she is light-hearted, there is a beautiful spirituality underlining her purpose on the mat. It makes you think on a deeper level when you leave the mat and return to “life.” Every class is a journey. World class teacher, world class person. I have yet to come across a better teacher on many levels.
