Exploring aspects of yin and yang yoga, you’ll discover how to both fire the body up and how to slow it down. Practicing anatomically-informed hatha and vinyasa flow each morning and restorative and yin yoga each evening, you’ll explore these complementary practices and all the elements necessary to be able to confidently teach both.
Extensive study of asana, alignment, anatomy, assists and adjustments, the philosophy and history of yoga, teaching methodology, intelligent sequencing, and the business of yoga will prepare you to teach with confidence and poise. You'll learn a multidisciplinary approach so that you can graduate with the ability to effectively teach multiple styles of yoga and meditation.

While anatomically-informed hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga are at the core of our teachings, our methodology is also influenced by the Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, and Kundalini traditions. We will also briefly cover essential aspects of prenatal yoga.
The course will be entirely taught in English, so proficiency in English is essential.
It is highly recommended that you have a dedicated and consistent yoga practice for at least 6 months to 1 year before joining the course. The only other prerequisites are a genuine interest in yoga, coming with an open mind, and being prepared to learn :)
This is an intensive, three-week yoga teacher training program, so full attendance and completion of all homework and assignments is mandatory in order to successfully graduate from the course.
After completing your registration, we will send you an official welcome packet by email. This will include your pre-course required readings to prepare you for the training.
Yoga is a practice, not something to be perfected. Wherever you are in your yoga journey, you are good enough. You do not need to be an asana master to teach effectively or to impact your students in a positive way. You do not need to be able to hold handstand free-floating to offer meaningful classes to your community.
Perfectly practicing asana does not create a good teacher. Teaching is a completely separate skill that we will extensively study and practice in this training. You will learn the art of communication and how to empower your students. Your asana skills are unrelated to your teaching skills.
If you love yoga and want to share its teachings, then you are undoubtedly "good enough" and ready to teach yoga!
The first and last day of the course dates are used as travel days so please schedule your arrival and departure accordingly.
The nearest airport to us is Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali (airport code: DPS). From here, you can take the shared group shuttle bus to the retreat center in the north. It is an extremely picturesque drive for about 4 hours.
We accept either bank transfers or major credit cards for the deposit and remaining course tuition fees. A $500 USD deposit is required to secure your space in the training and the remaining balance of your tuition is due by the date specified in your welcome packet. Payment plans are available upon request.
Indonesia is a developing country that is visited by many tourists yearly. Bali, itself, is the most frequently visited island in Indonesia and wholeheartedly welcomes international tourism. Visiting Bali either as a solo traveler or with a group is generally considered to be safe, although you should always exercise common sense and vigilance while traveling.
Depending on what passport you hold, most countries are visa exempt for a free 30-day entry. Select countries need to pay a fee (typically US $35) on arrival for entry. Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day of your arrival and have at least one blank page for a stamp or visa sticker. You can find more visa information here.
